Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] ladyhadhafang! I do love a good shipping. ^_^

Top 10 Shippings Overall

1.  Amy/Rory, Doctor Who

2.
Beast/Belle, Beauty and the Beast.

3. Mitchell/Annie, Being Human (until Mitchell goes insane, that is :( )

4. Elder/Amy, Across the Universe (yes, there's a pairing in a current YA novel I like. Insanity! :O )

5. Flynn Rider/ Rapunzel, Tangled

6. Tohru Honda/ Kyo Sohma, Fruits Basket

7. Harry/ Ginny, Harry Potter

8. Germany/ Italy

9. Sailor Moon/ Tuxedo Mask

10. Sophie Hatter/ Howl (books and movie both! ^_^)

Top 5 Love Triangles/Threesomes
1.  Hungary/ Austria/ Prussia, Axis Powers Hetalia (as a threesome, because it fits perfectly. Hey, Hungary's already a yaoi fangirl!)

2. Celia/ Marcus/ Isabelle, The Night Circus (as a love triangle, because oh look, actual consequences of the decision! Hello!)

3. Mary/ Matthew/ Lavinia, Downton Abbey (as a love triangle, because the show actually made the other girl sympathetic and nice and didn't have everyone be a bitch to her just because)

4. Bolin/ Korra/ Mako/ Asami (as a love triangle, because again, the other girl is an interesting character who isn't instantly made bitchy or shallow just to make the lead look better. Also, it's nicely underplayed thus far)

5. Viola/Duke/Olivia/Sebastian!Viola (both the original play and the adaptation of She's the Man)

Top 5 Canon Pairings

1.
Nina/George, Being Human

2. Tyrion and Shae, Game of Thrones

3. Aang and Katara, Avatar: The Last Airbender

4. Zuko and Mai, Avatar: The Last Airbender

5. Hermione and Ron, Harry Potter

Top 5 "Not my favorite, but they're very nice alternate choices" Shippings

1. Katara/ Zuko (Yes, yes, I know. I hate the pairing written badly, is all.)

2. Hungary/ Prussia

3. Sokka/ Toph

4. Matthew/ Lavinia

5. Tohru Honda/ Yuki Sohma

Top 5 "Wtf that makes no sense... but I LOVE it!" Shippings

1. Zyn/ Leah (Haven't looked at that one too much lately, but dang if I don't love it!)

2. Sands/ Snape (Thank you so very much, Mervin)

3. Marcie Millar/ Nora (At the very least, it makes a fuck-ton more sense than the canon shipping of Nora/ Patch)

4. Hong Kong/ Switzerland (You can blame the dude who wrote the Hearth Series for this one)

5. Egypt/ Lithuania (It was done in an extremely cracky fanfiction, and now I kind of love it)

Top 5 "I just don't feel what everyone else is feelin'" Shippings

1. Belle/ Gaston (Um...way to miss the point of the movie? 8( )

2. Bella/ Streex (Yes. This crossover happened. No, I'm not sure if it's a joke or not)

3.  Switzerland/ Lichtenstein (I know blood relationships are a bit loose in Hetalia, but... Lichtenstein looks like she's about twelve. And calls Switzerland "Big Bruder" pretty much every time they meet. It's just a bit...squicky, is all I'm saying)

4. Belerus/ Lithuania (Erm... the only time they went on a date, she broke his fingers. And come on, the guy's a big enough woobie as it is!)

5. Jareth/ Sarah (Ignoring the age factor, the entire thing is centered around him tricking and victim-blaming her. I could see it as some metaphor for going into adulthood or something, but a straight-up relationship? Erm... O_o)

Top 5 "I hope these die" Shippings

1. Katara/Zuko, How I Became Yours (yes, those two are fanon versions of a Suethor's twisted mind, but they both are such self-centered assholes that I don't feel the least bit sorry about what happens to them in the sequel)

2.
Patch/Nora, Hush Hush.

3. Edward/Bella & Christan Grey/ Anna Steele (yes, this might be cheating, but they're honestly the same characters)

4. Karumi/ Hakuron (... Mother. Of. God.)

5. Zoey Redbird/ Loren Blake (Not only is Zoey underage, the fact that she's completely oblivious to the many implications and consequences of going all the way with a teacher just makes it even squickier, somehow!)

I personally liked all three Doctors in their own ways. They each had their own distinct mannerisms and characteristics. ^_^

Oh I'm sure I will too, I'm just hesitant because when Tennant was the Doctor I really had no interest in the show but as soon as I saw Smith I got really interest and as soon as I saw Eckelson, I was like "Oh, damn, must watch."

Then I know a lot of people dislike Nine and I'm like..."But WHY? He's so cute!" I dunno, he just makes me instant fangirl, and that's kinda rare.

Yay!

I will admit, I haven't talked to that many Whovians (that's the fanname right?) about that, I just knew he was generally unpopular or at least, not AS popular as Tennent.

Plus, I think that feeling was strengthen because the one friend I've discussed this with seems to not like him. (Dismisses all my reasons why I love Nine, all but ordered me to skip the first year, keeps on talking about how great Tennent is...) So yeah.

From what I saw, Eccleston's pretty popular. I know some people who wished that he'd stayed on for another season -- and honestly, I can see why. I really like how he played the Doctor -- someone haunted by his experiences in the Time War, justifiably angry, but deeply regretful, and ultimately, loving. I know episodes like "Dalek", "The Doctor Dances", and "The Parting of the Ways", to name a few, really encapsulate these qualities quite well.

I also like some of his more snarky humor as well. And his adorkable moments, like dancing with Rose on the TARDIS, for example. What about you? :)

I LOVE his relationship with Rose. It's such a sweet romance that actually uses the old "tortured guy, pure girl" in a nice way. Rose isn't pure because she's a virgin or a sue but because she's young, sheltered human with a LOT of empathy. She reminds him of his better nature and so he feels she makes him better. I love that aspect.

More than that, I love how childishly excited he gets about things, like when he fanboyed over Dickins. Or how happy he was at the end of "The Doctor Dances" because, for once, he felt like he did a purely good thing. Those moments of such emotion and triumph get to me and Eccleston did it well, in my opinion.

So I agree, I wish he got another season.

This so very much regarding Doctor/Rose. And his fanboying over Dickens. And his "Just this once, everybody lives!" moment. Seriously! :D

My brother actually likes Nine the best because he was the most "macho" or something like that. I personally don't think that's the point of the Doctor, but I still like Nine well enough. XD

I love all three, really, but especially Nine and Ten. Mostly Nine because of how complex he is (the show did a great job of making him seem like a man who had lost everything) -- angry, haunted by what he did in the Time War, but deeply regretful and ultimately, loving (if that makes any sense). That and Christopher Eccleston is fucking amazing. Or, as Nine would say, "fantastic". :)

And Ten -- well, I quite like him. He's very funny, for one thing, friendly, compassionate...One scene that stands out to me is in "Last of the Timelords", after Martha and co. manage to revive him -- and the Master's terrified, expecting the Doctor to punish him for what he did, but instead, the Doctor says he forgives him and comforts him: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KdeF8eg8bIU. Especially considering what the Master did during the episode -- and the previous one. I'm thinking Ten did it because, in a way, he still saw the boy he used to be friends with on Gallifrey. And a glimpse of what the Master could have been, in "Utopia". Not to mention the Master...I think in a way, he cared about the Doctor as well. For example, the scene in "The End Of Time Part Two" (I believe) where he talks about the time he and the Doctor used to play in the meadows in estates the Master's father used to own. It's definitely one of my favorite dynamics (if not relationships) of DOCTOR WHO, really. #Possibly rambling. Sorry.

Eleven's also pretty cool. I especially like the "Colonel Runaway" speech in "A Good Man Goes To War", and comforting the Krayfayis in "Vincent and the Doctor". Also love his relationship with River, so very much (then again, River Song is amazing, IMHO. :3).

Those are all the reasons I love Nine honestly, that you listed. He felt so complex and yet so...desperate to enjoy life that I just fell for him. I have a thing for Stepford Smilers and bad boys(most of my own heroes tend to be both), so he got my character love so quickly.
