3) voldemort and james sister has a daughter named cosette? that is betrothal to draco

ZeldaQueen: I was not aware that there were Les Miserables-Harry Potter crossovers. Live and learn.

Incidentally, the suethor apparently had second thoughts on this chapter, as she deleted it.

ZeldaQueen: Oh, this'll be rich.

I have started a rewrite for this story;

ZeldaQueen: WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE LAST AUTHOR'S NOTE, IF THAT'S THE CASE? WOULD IT KILL YOU TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND BEFORE YOU POST? THIS IS A FAN FICTION, NOT A MESSAGE BOARD!

however, i have made some changes. The title for now is untitled.

ZeldaQueen: I have to say, "Untitled" is probably more imaginative than what it is now. Or is it supposed to be some modern philosophical statement, like "My title is now untitled, and my coffee's getting cold"?

And...that's it. Really. That's it for the end of this fic, thus far. So, unless the suthor does her miracle rewrite, this thing is laid to rest. Hooray!

What's she planning to change about it anyway? It's not like the year it takes place in will make any difference to the plot, assuming you consider this fic to have a plot.

I do believe the author actually began the re-write, if you check her profile. It's all of one chapter and involves Harry finding out that he isn't a Potter at all... by reading out the contents of three separate birth certificates.

Dear Suthor,

Before you begin the rewrite, please look at other fics or, god forbid, an actual book (I'll even accept Twilight at this point) and please learn the difference between a chapter, glossary, author's note, and a message board (One of these things is not like the other!). When I was eight and writing a book about a unicorn, a girl, and a little dragon-like creature hunting around Vancouver for some stone, I had a better grasp of these concepts and how they are different better than you. I hope to you god you are not over the age of five or else you seriously need to re-evaluate yourself.

Wow ZQ, you were right

This fic was literally nothing but them going through inheritance papers and other similar dull financial stuff. The breaking up of the canon relationships and pairing them with other people, completely out of the blue, seems like an afterthought, really. As if the Suethor thought to herself, "Hmmm, I know how I can make this EVEN MORE EXCITING. I'll pair off Ginny and Draco!"

Except it didn't work. Everyone just sighed and shook their heads.

As an afterthought to my own post, all the Author's Notes remind me of My Immortal a little. Not to say they're similar (the spelling here isn't nearly as horrendous), but wow, talk about abusing your readers! Sounds like the Suethor was using her reviews section to get fic recommendations, which... aren't reviews.

Overall, I am really unsure how the Suethor thought this was an interesting story. Dear, you realise that in a story, actual events have to happen which create conflict? Any hints of conflict are passed over instantly (the marriage contracts could have been a good source of drama, but coming from the Suethor, it would have probably been incredibly melodramatic).

Eh, apparently Ginny/Malfoy is popular anyway. I have no idea why. In the books, he all but gags on her name.

I guess it makes sense if you've paired Harry and Hermione and just want to give Ginny a consolation prize without regard to such trifles as characterisation and compatibility. I think the Draco Trilogy started or at least popularised the trend.
