Breaking Dawn: Part 1
Nov. 27th, 2011 09:02 pmNote: Yes, it's finally happened! The Lusty Wench and I have broken into the internet completely! Sort of. Yes, I am incogneto. Do not laugh, it had to be done. I'm wanted in every major nation, plus Canada.
Also, please pay no heed to the blip towards the end of the video. Your computer wasn't glitching, it was just my sucking as an editor.
The management would like to remind everyone that comments are very welcome, seeing as this is our first go at this sort of thing and would love to know how to improve. The management would also like to remind everyone that only polite constructive criticism that uses correct spelling and grammar will be listened to.
Thank you, and enjoy!

Date: 2011-12-03 05:06 pm (UTC)Yeah, the movie had its wanky bits, but it was generally just really boring. I'm hoping that they come up with some way or another to spice up Part 2, but I'm not holding my breath.

Date: 2011-11-28 11:08 pm (UTC)Very funny video, the bit where you were talking about the sex scenes in particular (the head board WTF?!). Thought that the stuff about the pregnancy was very well handled too, pointed out what was wrong with the relationship between Edward and Bella without getting bogged down in a debate about the right and wrongs which would have just distracted from the main point.
I may have said this already but I always thought at first when she said EJ she was going to name the kid Edward Junior not Edward Jacob, but I guess I underestimated Bella...
The imprinting thing sounded well disturbing.
They made her breasts bigger when she transformed into a vampire? Because that's an incredibly healthy message to send to young girls, especially as Meyer considers her vamps the most beautiful things ever.

Date: 2011-12-03 05:15 pm (UTC)You know, thinking back on how the relationship between Edward and Bella was handled via the pregnancy, I think I know now what about it infuriated me the most. Neither of them LEARN anything from it. Okay, Bella's knocked up with a half-human spawn of Satan, but the basic situation - that a couple are conflicted on a health-related issue that has one of their lives at stake - is something that people do go through. The thing is, we know that nothing comes of it. Bella in no way ever considers how Edward was willing to abandon her and continued to refer to the baby as a monster. Edward never thought back on the idea that Bella, who had up until that point shown no particular desire for babies, would be so wedded to the idea of keeping the kid. One would imagine that the experience would cause them to realize that there were things going on with each other that they never knew, but it's all swept under the rug because oh look, the baby's thinking about how much it loves Mommy, isn't the precious?
Heh, yeah. Bella never misses an opportunity to jerk Edward and Jacob around like that.
It was just...weird. I think it was like the Quil/Claire thing, where the filmmakers were scrambling to show it in a way that didn't bring romance or sex to mind, but really...they show an adult Renesmee running through the woods, holding hands with Jacob. So okay, pedophilia doesn't come to mind, but child grooming still does! D:
Well, that's what it looked like. There was this point where her chest region went *fwoomp!* and sort of puffed up. Part of it could have been her rib cage (although her ribs didn't seem to be particularly sunk in), but someone on Cleolinda's post for the movie said it was her boobs and Bella was getting all made over at that point. I...erm exaggerated with the pillows. ^^;

LOL jk. I'm pulling a Meyer
I don't have veoh download so it'll be a while till I actually watch it.
Was it more logical than the books? Because they usually are.

Date: 2011-12-03 05:25 pm (UTC)I'm sorry about the VEOH download thing. ^^; I forgot about it. The Lusty Wench specifically asked not to host the thing on YouTube, and VEOH was the only other one I could think of. Do you know of another video hosting site that doesn't need a download and allows embeding?
Ehhh...slightly. Some things were better (they didn't have the scene where Edward tells Jacob "Convince Bella to get an abortion and I'll let you knock her up"), but it still was REALLY boring and bland.

Date: 2011-12-03 08:19 pm (UTC)Its all good, I think there's daily motion or bliptv. I've never tried uploading anything on there though. I think there's also facebook.
Lol thank goodness. I just remember that in the first movie there was a more structured plot compared to the books (because they were showing the killings early on) but I wouldn't expect much from a movie whose premise is marriage, knock up, pregnancy.
yeah...

Date: 2011-12-17 03:07 am (UTC)Stephenie Meyer made another cameo? Jeez. I’m surprised that you guys didn’t mention the numerous cameos of Stan Lee in Marvel films when mentioning creator cameos.
So, it’s not enough that they made a reference to the book cover in the first movie; they had to make another cover reference in the fourth movie as well. Why? What point did the chess have, other than serving as inexplicable foreplay and a shout-out to fans?
Great rant about Edward and Bella’s relationship. You’re right, how can we believe that they’re truly in love when they never talk about anything, when they never discuss things with each other or try to see the other’s perspective?
They left out the “genetic dead-end” line and Sam’s despicable behavior? Thank goodness.
Somebody actually named their daughter Renesmee in real life? That poor kid. :(
