Is Meyer an only child? Apparently, Meyer doesn't have any inkling how families function (either as a sibling, a child, OR a parent). I looked up to my older brother who took care of me a lot when our parents were out. And when he was obviously watching out for me, I'd be thankful. I can't believe it's all that different for boys and their older sisters.
They say "write what you know" but apparently Meyer missed that guideline. She seems intent on writing about dedicated family bonds between brother-sister and child-parent, small town life, modern teenage relationships, science-y watchemecallits, good sex^H^H^H^H^H a variety of Mormon-approved lovemaking options, and lastly "true love".

Or not. Maybe she could take a class or something?
