No, actually it's the opposite. Hades is an angsty woobie who Persephone dumped, and he has twenty years to find a wife or else he'll...disappear or something. And Demeter (who, for some reason, goes by the name "Diana" even though Artemis is also in the book) is his family "in all but blood" and doesn't care if a lot of innocent girls die, so long as he is saved.
Oh, and they're all in high school for some reason.
Like I said, I'm not too far into it yet, but what I've had thus far is ten long miles of "What the hell???"
