I wish to murder Jace as well. I know Clare was going for the "troubled but cute" thing, but it just doesn't work. All he comes across as is a narcissistic jackass who enjoys killing things, which is the exact opposite of what most people look for. Honestly, the "Daddy didn't love me" excuse can only carry a character so far.
