Okay, that second image of Edward on the first page is the nicest I've seen him look. He looks more like a teen, and less like a thirty year old rapist.
Bella's dazzled face is just odd. Looking at the images, it feels like Edward just said "Tell me what you know or I might pay your mother a visit" and Bella is looking up in shock.
