And once again we see that, having overcome the Scary Sue, the main character proceeds to act exactly like her. This is a common Mary Sue trait, one that our Sueologists have yet to isolate the source of.
At least Stevie Rae's not present to provide us with an "amusing" Oklahoma-ism. (As a Minnesota native, I am very glad she isn't from my state. I dread the Fargo-esque dialogue she'd be spouting if that were the case...)
