Although I will admit Eric is actually kind of cute for an "icky geek" type; at least given the appearance of people in this book. Then again I've always had a thing for a man in glasses and cute nerd is one of my favorite looks for a character.
Non-conventionally pretty boy types who are sweet - thus why it pisses me off so much that Bella can call someone OVERLY HELPFUL! I suppose that it can be annoying if someone isn't the least bit selfish at times, but she just met the guy and she's talking about him as if helpfulness is a bad trait; especially given her real "love" interests "personality".
Not that is matters since he's not a vampire and thus not a pretty boy; except I certainly find him more attractive than the incredibly creepy looking Edward. (who also kinda looks like he's always walking with a fan behind him; the man look FREAKIN' CREEPY!)
