The way I see it, there's two possibilities, neither of which lead to a stuttering McGonagall fleeing with her tail between her legs (let's face it, nothing would). 1) She catches the Sirius reference, which leads to: McGonagall: Miss Potter, if you have any knowledge on the whereabouts of Sirius Black, I suggest you come forward straight away. In the mean time, I'll be confiscating that broom until we can be sure it wasn't sent by Sirius Black in the first place. 2) Or she doesn't, in which case we get: McGonagall: Very well, then, if you wouldn't mind getting that receipt, I'm sure we can have this all sorted out in no time.
I mean, McGonagall fully states that she knows Holly is lying, but doesn't call her bluff?
