Honestly, that book made me realized that I like it way more when Dumbledoore shows up at 3 or 4 scenes and it's Harry and friends who have to discover things on their own. He just doesn't shut up about how great he is either. He's a very powerful and old wizard, so I let him toot his horn 3 or 4 times a book, but when it is 5 or 6 in every scene you are... then you are just being a jerk.

Not hating on you dear, though. I just needed to let that out my chest. The whole "chose to die" thing makes me see red and everyone I know moved on from HP so I had nobody to complain to. XD This is why I can't be a HP fan, although I do like it and find plenty of positive things about the books. Rowling's idea was fine, just badly executed with the while "she chose to die business". Maybe seeing Merope crazy and abusing baby Voldie until he's taken away by the ministry would have worked better? Or Merope actively deciding she didn't want anything to do with him? You know, something better than "The poor, starving pregnant woman died giving birth and it's her fault" BS.

I mean, be honest. If Meyer had pulled that on Leah, how would you feel about it? Heck, if Garriger or Pratchett pulled this on me I would be twice as mad since I've come to expect good things from them.

And really, Merope is wrong but Tonk's temper tantrum at the most inappropiate time/place ever is a-ok?
