I don't agree with a lot of what Rowling did with Riddle in books 6 and 7—prime example, prior to them there'd been a lot of talk about how he and Harry had been quite similar and how CHOICE was what influenced someone, not innate capacity. Also, just the whole child-of-rape-is-evil thing turned my stomach. I may do my own book 6 and 7 rewrite later because of it.
This? This is not how you go about fixing that. Nor is it even how you write an Alternate Character Interpretation Not!Really!Evil!Riddle, which would be interesting if done well. This is just—just—*flail* *inarticulate noises*
