I think it's fairly obvious that Stouffer was trying to appeal to adults who want "good" kids who avoid trouble. Kind of weird, when you consider SHE'S WRITING FOR CHILDREN!!!
Which, I might add, was what Rowling did NOT do! She knew that kids liked to read about sneaking around at night and stuff like that!
