Weirdly, the author almost seems to consider this an old shame. There's this site someone dedicated to Link's Queen and her...erm "works" (she wrote several other one-shot fics for her MIL fanon, all centered around characters like Zelda or Malon wangsting) and one of the things there was a chat conversation the site owner had with LQ. At one point, LQ said something like "I have to put all of this MIL shit behind me". (On another hilarious note, LQ was never happy with the site owner for dedicated a website to her work. She threatened, several times, to copywrite My Inner Life and sue the site owner).
The AI theory might actually be sound, especially since there are chatbots that say the most random things. And funnily enough, there are times when people aren't able to tell it's a chatbot, when it says the weirdest stuff.
