That's probably best for one's peace of mind. Unfortunately, I personally have a great love of continuity nods and bending my brain to fit things together. My brother and I recently sat down and tried to fit the games into chronological order, actually. We did manage, but only if there were some handwaves of "And then Ganondorf came back to live...somehow".
