"I am not a demon!" he shouted. "I'm an angel! A guardian angel!"
"What have you been taught? My darling Artemys would never sanction the likes of you to be an angel! Those silly boys must be off on their pranks again." She sighed. "I, of course, simply must clean this up."
Patch screamed. Burning cuts opened across his skin. He tore off his shirt; the fabric was melting into his skin, sticking to his fingers and burning them even more. Anger swelling up inside of him and he lunged at her legs.
She skipped back and kicked him in the face. Her clawed toes dug into his soft skin as they slashed across his face. "Listen here, boy. I am not some silly little girl you can play with." She pulled out the dagger and jammed it between his ribs. More searing pain. "My brother may have been incompentent when it comes to the likes of you, but I have rules. If every demon went around masquerading as an angel, I would have a lot of trouble of my hands. I may be a God, but even I can't properly clean that up!"
"I'm not--"
She slammed her foot on his neck, slowly cutting off the supply of air. "I fucking heard you the first time, you pathetic little weasel." She pointed at her ears. "Do you think these are just decorations?" Her black, furred tail twitched behind her. "Oh, Cara, why are you always the one who has to deal with the idiot ones?"
Patch grabbed her leg, pulling on her leather wraps. "Wait, Cara, can't we talk about this?"
She jumped on his chest. Cara grabbed his face, pinching until more blood oozed out. "Look, you little prick, I told you to refer to me as the Shadow Queen. I am not a stupid little mortal you can mind rape. There are rules. Do you hear me?"
Patch struggled to nod, but she held his head in place.
Cara placed one clawed finger on the tip of his nose. "I should take your pathetic dick for breaking my rules. No consorting with humans. No body stealing. Respect the mortal ones." She waved her hand. "Tell me, did I make them too difficult to understand? Was something lost in translation?"
Again, he tried to move his head, but she held him firmly in place.
"Ah, well, no matter. I don't particularly like you, so I'll just get it over with and kill you."
"Wait! Please! I-I'll change!" he begged.
"No." She said simply. Cara slashed his face, digging each claw into the soft flesh. Patch howled and shrieked, slamming his fists into her body desperately but to no avail. She was not phased.
"What will the pretty boy do now? Huh?" Her voice started to grow manical. "Ribbons! You are nothing but ribbons now! How will your mortal whore like you now?"
He continued to scream, struggling beneath her, yet her inhuman strength kept him down.
She finally jumped off, his blood dripping down her forearms, chest, and face. "Let this be a warning to you and your dumb fuck friends: Don't break my fucking rules. Stop masquerading as angels. You made the choice to fall, now you have to suffer the consequences."
Patch gurgled up blood in response. His eye sight started going fuzzy and blurry. He struggled to pull in each breath.
"All for the sensation of touch." Cara pulled out the dagger and twirled it into the air. "I could have given you that--wait, I just did, and you didn't have to go through the trouble of killing me! Aren't I sweet?" She grinned, the dark splotches of blood ever more apparent on her glowing face.
Patch reached out. "Please...please spare me..."
She tilted her head forward, a shadow crossing her face. "No." Cara raised the dagger and plunged it into his heart.
Patch howled and convulsed. His eyes rolled into the back of his head before he went limp.
She returned her dagger back to its hidden scabbard. She turned around and returned to the darkness, whistling a little tune.
"...There is no rope, you're running out of time. So where will you go, when I murder your soul?
