I was/am a Zutara fan. Mostly because they felt sexier and more exciting than Aang and Katara. Still, kinda like how I'm starting to feel about bronies extremeism, Zutara fans kinda...went eh on the internet. I've seen some very cute pictures though of them together and I think they could have had a great story.
That said, once I got to know Mai, I loved her and she and Zuko are wonderful together. So really, I just started being more Katara and...anyone who is not Aang.
I really dislike Aang and Katara mostly because of Aang and a little with how the show handled it all. Aang is childish and while he grows over the series, I felt like Katara was always...racing ahead. Often I felt skived whenever Aang was too forward. When he had cute little flirting scenes with girls his own age it was sweet and pleasant but when he's like aggressively forcing kisses on Katara...then I got creep out.
I know she's only two years older than him and they shared a lot of experiences and all that. I know he matures and becomes far less of a kid, but I just felt...I dunno. It always creep me out to see them genuinely together.
Course, that's just my feelings. It is cannon and I accept it. Aang all grown up seemed cool and I like his and Katara's kids. (Well, the two I've seen.)
I know there's a comic that has them as a full couple but I've also seen some real criticisms about how they're portrayed as a couple in it. So..yeah.

Either way, this was real interesting.
