I feel like I need to write something sort of substantial. I've been reading your whole chapter-by-chapter sporking of this. You're...incredibly brave. I couldn't believe that you're only a bit more than halfway through this book: I honestly thought it'd be short. But no, it's grinding on. A lot.
It seems like I'm easy to set off since a lot of the fics I've taken on lately have personally slighted me in how they've been bad in one way or another, and now I can add a professionally-produced book-Hush, Hush-to that list. You've had a link to my dA, and it seems you've seen all the stuff I've drawn.
There's a character of mine this POS is slighting. You may have seen him: one of Maurice Delmar's apprentices in a private intelligence agency, former police sniper Uriel Cross. He's meant to have all the hallmarks of a fallen angel of some sort (although I go by the Ah! My Goddess definition of being of mixed heavenly/demonic heritage) and it's like he's the diametric opposite to Patch, whatever the hell he is. Sweet, caring, intelligent, slight Irish accent, soft-spoken.
Until you put a high-powered rifle with a scope in his hands. Combine that with the unique mix of powers he wields and anything within 1000 yards that has been doing evil had better turn themselves in, keep its head down or stay under cover. Even some of his clear, wide misses have resulted in enemy kills and successful arrests. I'd just like to write his reaction or something to this. He'd probably be challenging Patch to get anywhere within 3000 feet of him and see what a hotshot he is then. I haven't really written or drawn anything that showcases his talents yet but some dope in black would be nothing to him. He'd be asking Patch to regrow his wings just so he could force him to hand them in.
...in fact, wouldn't that be a better story involving some sort of fallen angel permutation? Three-dimensional counter-terrorist battling dudes, solving international crime and trying to protect people he comes to love?
