...That took me ten seconds AND I'm on an iPhone, which makes all that typing quite hard for me. Sure, I used wiki but that was all up to date ( I heard the latest HP movie made top three like last week). Sure, BD isn't out yet but I don't see it overtaking HP because the last ones BARELY cracked the top 50.
What this person doesn't realize is that The HP movies actually have two fractions; the fans of the books and people who have 't read the books but still like the movies. Why? Because anyone who hasn't read the book still have heard good things about it. TW on the other hand ONLY have the fans. Most people who haven't read the books have heard awful things about the story so they won't see the movie. So, HP essentially gets double the movie goers.
Also, I find the part about Meyer being so wonderful during interviews and such absolute garbage. I have heard awful things about Meyer at interviews and signings, like how she charges for autographs, which is plain rude. I've always figured that Rowling was a very classy lady.
Now, what I see as they big difference between Rowling and Meyer with the who separate projects thing is that, sure, Rowling may or may not be writing something post-HP but at least she she isn't teasing her fans about it! Sure, she has talked about the eighth HP but that thing is pretty recent. Meyer? She has 'The Host' sequels (which are named), the mermaid idea, the ghost idea with time traveling so, if she has all of these ideas then where are they? Rowling has never said 'I have such-and-such story that I am writing right now and I'll have more info soon!' and then promptly never speak of it again. THAT is what pisses me off. Don't tease your fans with ideas that you never produce, that's just cruel.
