Eh, Shaunee probably let it slide because Cole's hot and she has a crush on him. If these people think you're attractive and they like you, they don't call you out on anything. Just look at how Zoey was, all fine with Neferet's treatment of Aphrodite, but when Neferet started to turn on Zoey, she's all "WHY CAN NO ONE SEE HOW EVIL SHE IS??? >:O"

Heath has that last name because the Cast ladies wanted to do a stupid joke about how the only luck Heath has is not having had any DUIs in his life (despite the fact that he was drunk to the point of parody in the previous book, with the implication that this has been going on for some time)
