I read that whole excerpt about IT IS SUPER RARE FOR A *MAN* TO GET AN ELEMENT and couldn't help but think...aren't two of the elements considered "masculine?" Why don't guys ever get those? I mean...not to be sexist or anythig of the srot, but if two elements are feminine and two are masculine, why should the girls get affinities way more than guys? Shouldn't there be an equal chance? (Also, this JUST came to me. If Nyx blesses girls more than boys, then she must favor girls...if that's true, she's a pretty awful god, and why isn't there another god that favors boys?)
And my first thought about finding out three of her buds had affinities for certain elements was "Oh, shit, we're going to have some A:TLA or Captain Planet thing now, aren't we?"
