..It's Neil. It has to be. The way he words that, it's exactly like he's saying "I don't care what you say, I'll write it the way I like it". And you're right, he's judging it by American society and not British society.
Incidentally, he just said this on American society: "I wouldn't call it hate, just a wide dislike for most of the people, the politicians, the shows, the attitudes, the corporations, the "we'll kill you for money" nature of our health care system, the obsession with war and a few other things."
