Sigh, Medea is one of my favorite plays. I am guessing the Casts picked it for the female main character. Here's the thing, Medea uses occult witchcraft to kill Jason's children, new wife, and father-in-law. Before this she had chopped up her own brother to allow them to escape and used the daughters of Jason's enemy to kill him. She went into exile for Jason, and didn't like the fact he was marrying a princess so that she and her children could have a stable home. While you may find some people attributing hubris to Jason, it is not the best interpretation of the work.
Cupid was a right bastard, though his lineage could be right. He enjoyed shooting people in ways that would end messy with gold and lead arrows, especially with the gods. The kind of love he inspired was thought by the Greeks to be a kind of madness that was cured by getting it on. But Nix does have a labyrinth in Persona 3!
Back on the gay thing, this is the type of work that really annoys me. Should I be happy they are beating us over the head with acceptance? Or should I be ticked that he is just a stereotypical gay best friend?
