In Which I Do A Meme: Three Comments On A Story
Snagged this one from gehayi! I have written thirteen fanfictions, so comment and pick a number between one and thirteen. One is the most recently-updated work I've done thus far, and thirteen is the least-recently-updated. I will then tell you three things about that fic that I like about it!

- The chapter titles, which are all spoofs of fantasy literature, to some degree or another.
- The prologue. I just LOVED following Bill's happy little rambling train of thought. And then have his head asplode. XD
- Being able to work in the joke that the group escaped the Critic's house by using the being undetected techniques that Linkara taught them in Kickassia.

2.) The entire desert sequence. That just came fantastically, when I was writing it. The use of the Poe, the little hidden room, the sandstorms, they all lent themselves perfectly to the blending of traditional fairy tales and The Legend of Zelda.
3.) The using of a dagger in the final part of the story. I had wanted Zelda of the Moon to be using some sort of a hidden weapon when Vaati came into her room, but my first idea - a sword - just couldn't work. When I tried to visualize it being used, I couldn't buy it. Then, I was linked to an article about how overused swords are, and how it was suggested that daggers be tried as a replacement. A dagger ended up working great! :D

2.) The description of Canada being taken to the facility and hooked up to the IV and recordings. I feel that I kind of fail at POV descriptions of that sort, but think I was halfway decent for that one bit. ^^
3.) The way China, England, and Cuba worked in there. I chose China as the one America was paranoid about because I wanted it to come across as very irrational (that, and most of the countries in modern times that the CIA would conceivably brainwash America against don't have canon characters, and I felt an OC wouldn't work well for the part). England was originally just supposed to get Canada to visit America and thus start things off, but he ended up getting pretty involved. I was also kind of writing an evil!England story at the time (hasn't been finished, sadly ^^; ) so having him as a good guy felt great! Cuba...not even sure how I thought to use him. XD I love the dude though, and I love him threatening America from the sofa. I also love him attacking guards from the bushes.
