Belle/Beast? I love those two in the Disney version - used to dress up as Belle every Halloween, actually.

I. Fandom and meta:

1) They're my favorite Disney couple, and one of my favorite fictional couples in general! XD
2) Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favorite Disney movies. In terms of both Disney and fairy tales in general, it was always one of my favorites. I think the big appeal the couple had for me was that they actually spent a lot of time together and got to know each other before they got married

THANK YOU! I HATE when people say "Oh Belle was just suffering Stockholm Syndrome and Beast is an abuser."

No. She wasn't. She only grew sweet with the Beast after he a)saved her life and b) stop being a giant dick.

You know it's not Stockholm because she still yells at him after he did a kind thing because he was being a dick about it. In fact, that's what the Beast likes! He calms down once she calls him on his shit. He enjoys it because a part of him is still a young child and children enjoy boundaries.

And you know the Beast isn't abuser because he never once hit/attacked her or told her she was less than human. Yes, he had childish tantrums, and yes he tried to use food as reward and yes that is bad. That's why Belle didn't accept AND why the servants made sure to feed her. Because it was wrong.

Also, how the fuck could she be leading Gaston on? By being mildly polite? She always said no rather clearly.
