In Which I Do A Meme - Icon Meme

- Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
- Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
- Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
- This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.

If you want to choose six more of my icons for me to talk about, feel free! :D

Icons chosen by [livejournal.com profile] xcircus_freakx

1.) ZeldaQueen - This was the first icon I ever made, as well as my default one. When I started the Realm, I went off of the idea that the icon used would indicate the character(s) sporking the fic. Therefore, I wanted to make one that would represent my sporker self (yeah, I don't look anything like that in real life ^^; ) I made that image using a dollmaker which I found via Google, and I also took a screen capture of the full-sized image.

2.) Sailor Spork/Chibi Spork GIF - Again, this was an earlier one of mine. I made it using Doll Divine's Sailor Scout Maker, which I had recently found and was nuts over. The idea was that they were the sailor scouts of the sporking realm, like the resident mystical figures. They kind of have been abandoned by now, though.

3.) The Doubtful Guest - Not much to say about this guy. I made this very quick-like, just because I think he's ridiculously cute, if a bit creepy. I only use him for private messages, so he's the messenger of the Realm. He also used to be my Twitter icon, until Mal and Inara took over on that job.

4.) Graverobber - I made this when I was on my Repo kick. It's a scene from the movie, when Amber is all high and flirty with the Graverobber. Probably the sexiest that Paris Hilton has ever been. Incidentally, that icon is also one of the first times I tried making an icon with actual words on it. I don't do that very often, because it usually comes out very sucky. Ah well...

5.) Leah/Zyn - I made this one around the time when the Eclipse movie as getting mad promotion. That was about when I had finished up The Legend of Rah and the Muggles and was hacking my way through The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. It was noted by several viewers that Zyn (the designated villain of The Legend of Rah) and Leah were similar in that they were both hated on by their Suethors, even though they both were arguably the most logical and sympathetic characters in their works. From there, I decided to have them be a sporking team, with their first assignment being Part 5 of Bree Tanner. That icon is used whenever they are sporking something. The picture of Leah is one of the first promotional pictures of her movie self released. The image of Zyn was created using the Heromachine.

6.) The Purple Spork - I was awarded this by [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin for services in sporking Child of Grace. It was an honor ^_^

I always found the Doubtful Guest creepy, but somehow bizarrely endearing. XD Perhaps it's the sneakers.

Well whoever she is, she has fine taste in icons. ;)

The penguin reminds me of Tim Burton's works - Creepy, yet cute. :D

The purple spork looks magical, O.O

It's from The Doubtful Guest, a story written and drawn by Edward Gory. Gory is sort of like Burton, in that he draws things that are very surreal. The difference is that as creepy and cute as Burton's stuff is, there is the definite feel that he intends it for kids. From what I understand, Gory wrote children's stories but didn't particularly care for them. That's why we get things like an alphabet book that gives illustrations on various ways children can be killed.

I know? It's beautiful, isn't it? :)

At first I thought you were referring to the sentence before " I know? It's beautiful, isn't it?" :o I know you weren't, though, XD

Nah, I don't want to participate, I was just commenting, :)
