Speaking from experience, appendicitis is painful as all hells. You do not want to stay in that state longer than necessary. (Protip: wanting to tough it out and go to uni or work is not a good idea, especially if you live some distance away from there. 45 minutes of public transport aren't too nice...) (Then again, I might be straying into political territory here, as healthcare here in Germany is different and oh damn I mentioned the h-word...)
