Seriously, where in the hell did this whole 'hot jerkass and spineless girl fall in love' schtick come from in teen lit? How did people ever let this become a 'good' thing? I'm really confused, because I always thought that if someone harasses you like Patch does, you tell somebody about it, and if you meet someone, get to know them and their true personality!
I have not seen one bit of romance in this book so far? How did the author even come up with this idea? Someone must have taken her aside when she read this out to them and said 'you can't publish this as a romance, it's creepy!' Please tell me at lease one person told her that!
*sigh* I'm so sick of these whole 'I can change him, Mama!' stories where the girl leeches onto the creep brainwashes her. Man, do we need some kind of writer revolt or revolution or what? :D
