Of course Gethesemane is tossing big words around, trying to make it seem like Kate really cares about the issue. She doesn't. It becomes quite clear later that she only cares about bedding both Jones and Sparrow.

And it's no problem at all! :) It really helps that this and that stupid one chapter of the Origins story is pretty much all that's left of Gethesemane. ^^;
