In a better story, I'd see Zoey's admission to Erik Night (dear god) as a sign that she realizes she was being irrational dealing with Kayla, but is too proud to admit it to her friend. However, that would be a flaw, which would mean Zoey was a human, and not a big honking Mary Sue. Lord knows we can't have that.
