Exactly! I'm not saying that every Mary Sue has a million fans, but Twilight? Rose Potter? Holly Potter? DW's time traveling sociopathic Harry Potter? The Hogwarts Exposed series? They all have tons of reviews gushing about how great they are. If an author is able to "empower" themselves through a Mary Sue and have so much praise and still be horribly put upon by sporkings which they aren't usually even meant to read, I don't know what to say.
