This is so many years after this was made, but a few things about this chapter just annoyed me so badly. Firstly, her whole wangst over 'Tom' not telling her about the truth and keeping things from her, when in this chapter she is doing the exact same thing to her other friends. I know we already know she's a hypocrite, but still.
Also the way that 'Blaise' expressed his wish to throw the diary into the fire. Ignoring the fact that this is supposed to be Tom Riddle and part of Voldemort's soul because according to this Tom is just some poor widdle woobie that we should all feel sorry for (not to mention, I don't think fire would actually harm a horcrux, but moving on), 'Blaise' is still expressing a desire to destroy the diary, something which has the soul of person in it, something that is living, with hopes and dreams and fears (well, this is a sue-fic so I don't expect him to be so deep, but the point remains), all because it made Holly wangst. This boy in second year casually expressed a genuine desire to commit murder, and that is disgusting and I really hate this story.
