Hey, it's been two years since I last touched the book. I was bound to miss a detail or two. XD
And yes, it is sad and she deserves understanding, not ccondesention which is what I found Dumbledoore giving her with the the whole "she chose to die" and "she didn't have your mother's courage" business. I'd say she was brave since she went on living no matter how crappy everything turned out. And then Rowling says that, just further blaming her for how Voldie turns out? Give the poor girl a break!
Plus she didn't raise a wand to save herself? Didn't she stay at home instead of going to school and learn how to use magic properly? You can give a man the ingredients to make cake, but he won't make it without instructions. We don't know how much she was taught if that's the case so she might have not known her options or how to apply her magic.
I just don't like books six and seven and not for "Rowling didn't do it my way" reasons (since I never really had expectations for the books) or shipping reasons (since I don't really ship). I just don't like the inconsistencies and BS she uses at times and her abuse of adverbs. She's still bloody good at red herrings, I love every single plot twist (if you take out the Tonks deal) and her world building skills are something to envy. XD
And I'm not trying to bite your head off or anything. XD It's just that you said my least favorite line from this series like 3 times. It just drove me bonkers. XD That's like my bersek HP related button. XD
