What kills me about "Dumbledore covered up the Potters' deaths" is how pointless it is. It ian't like there was a Ministry fuck-up or anything, it was just a standard smash-and-burn raid. If anything, manipulative!Dumbledore would have told Harry about the Death Eater raid just to give him one more reason to hate Voldemort and his followers.
