No, I don't think it's actually registered in Nora's head that if Patch indeed was the bad guy, he could seriously hurt an officer.

That's the weird thing about this writing, though. We get NOTHING on Nora's thought process. She'll just say or do stuff, and half the time won't bother to narrate WHY. Like, I have no idea why she was being so snippy with Basso. She never gives any justification for acting that way. She just does.
