(Incidentally, City of Bones is getting one as well. The graphics look less creepy than Twilight's, but it's still on my list)
That... might work out decently, if you gutted it of Claire's atrocious prose enough, considering the story is, well, there. Of course the characters will still be stupid and annoying, and the 'verse still woefully undeveloped, though seeing the visual of some things may give us some advantage of getting things fleshed out in-story. Depends on how much the artist has freedom to insert things in for more rounding out, or if Claire wants to use some material from later novels so shit actually makes sense in context, like Mr. Purple Warlock guy.
Of course it doesn't help that I already defaulted everyone who appears in the story to anime/manga-form anyway. It's impossible not to with Isabelle, Alec, and Jace's descriptions.
As for Hush, Hush's own graphic novel, lol @ the ridiculous trucker hat. Actually his whole look doesn't seem bad boy at all. And Nora....... why is "look 1" with pants and "look 2" ridiculously short-shorts, not even a change of shoes or shirt (wtf? ESPECIALLY since the short is mid-dritf showing)? I mean damn, I've seen girls wear them short at school, but not to the point that they no longer have pockets because you've cut too damn far! I thought *my* little shorts were short and they have some pockets! This looks like she'd have her supple teenage asscheeks hanging out! You'd think they'd feel a little more uhhh RESPONSIBLE considering it's a Young Adult novel. Guess not. Like I said, only makes them worse with the mid-drift shirt.
Also, Patch isn't gorgeous. At all. He looks like a creep, or a normal guy if he wasn't just a default creep as it is. And honestly I don't think there are many girls these days who look at guys wearing caps and go Ooh I want a piece of that... It's pretty decidedly unfashionable, actually. Not that graphic-novel-Nora would know shit about fashion, but still.
