Yeah, I don't think the Cast ladies ever DID consider that people would do something like that. For all we're told that lots of celebrities are vampires, there's virtually nothing about how this affects fandoms, pop culture, followings, and so forth. We hear nothing about imitations, nothing about vampire posers or wannabes, nothing about vampire groupies, and so forth. In fact, most of humanity is supposed to HATE vampires as a reflex.

So yeah, if the some actual reasons were put to it, I'd buy "It's a frame-up!" As it is though, it just comes across as stupid.
