Alright, who is this girl and what has she done with Nora? Because she sounds nothing like the reasonably sensible, somewhat sympathetic girl from the first half of the last book. The one who cared about school and did well in it, had good memories of the home she grew up in, seemed to have some semblance of a moral compass, and thought Patch was a creep. What happened to that girl?
I just had a creepy thought: Nora's been dating Patch for two months now, right? What if he's spent that entire time doing weird things with her mind to make her into the kind of girl he wants as a girlfriend. That is, the kind of girl who is bitchy, insecure, and doesn't care about anything but him. It would explain her rapid character shift and why she doesn't seem to really remember anything from the last book. The sad thing is, he's supposed to be the romantic hero of the story, and I can totally see him doing that.
